Overcome the Complexity Within You

Do you find yourself craving for more data for better analysis, hard to narrow down a project, tangle on an issue? If your answer is yes, you might be a classic “complexifier”.

Several tips for that:

1) Always have a data collection plan, knowing what kinds of data are needed and why they are needed. Do not get more than what you need.

2) Set the deadline of completing the data analysis, prevent yourself deferring the decision making time.

3) Allow resources to focus on the agreed priorities and key areas instead of juggling between tasks. Too much work will only over load your team.

4) Focus the review over your set priorities and ensure your team fulfil their commitments. If the review is negative, adjust your strategy. Yet, keep going as plan.

1) Prepare all necessary information before start doing it. It also means having a plan on how to do it.

2) Write down a tomorrow to-do list before off work. Giving a cross on the list will definitely make you feel good and motivate you to complete other tasks.

3) Do the hard work first thing in the morning. Don’t procrastinate the task. After completing the task, the whole day you would get rid of the ‘something undo’ feeling, and be more carefree.
